Former WWE Tag Team Champion, Rene Dupree, recently spoke out against the leaked salary list of WWE Superstars from 2006, claiming that it is fake. Dupree, who joined the company in 2002 and made his main roster debut in 2003, competed on Monday Night RAW and SmackDown for about four years before leaving the company in 2007.
The leaked pay list, which allegedly shows the salaries of WWE Superstars in 2006, has been making rounds on social media lately, and Dupree’s name appeared on the list with a salary of $289,000.
During a recent episode of Cafe de Rene, Dupree addressed the alleged document, stating that it was “horsesh*t” and claiming that he was out of action for half a year with an injury during 2005-2006. He further added that he wasn’t on one pay-per-view during that period and had only appeared on RAW twice. Additionally, Dupree stated that he didn’t receive any royalties for his appearance in a video game with a funky mustache, despite rumors that he did.
“You know, I can tell you folks right now that that list is f**king horsesh*t. I can’t speak for anybody else but 2005-2006 dude I was out half year with an injury and I wasn’t on one pay-per-view. I think I did RAW twice. I didn’t get one action figure and someone said I was in a video game with the funky mustache but I didn’t get no royalty check for it,
Dupree’s comments have sparked a debate among wrestling fans, with some supporting his claims and others doubting them. Nonetheless, it remains unclear whether the leaked pay list is genuine or not, and WWE has not made any official statement regarding the matter.
