Kesha recently took a shot at Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs during her performance at OUTLOUD Raising Voices for WeHo Pride in West Hollywood on Friday. It has been noted that the “We R Who We R” singer changed the opening line of her 2009 hit “Tik Tok” to aim the controversial hip-hop mogul.
“Wake up in the morning like ‘F— P. Diddy!’” she sang with both middle fingers extended, prompting cheers from the crowd. The lyric change was reflected in a massive text visualizer behind the singer and her backup dancers. The performance was part of Kesha’s first solo concert set of 2024.
It has been noted that the singer had previously changed the lyric which originally said “Wake up in the morning feeling like P. Diddy in April when she joined Reneé Rapp on stage at Coachella as a surprise guest. She also switched the lyric to “Wake up in the morning feeling just like me” in November.
The original recording of “Tik Tok” actually features Combs saying “Hey, what up, girl?” after Kesha shouts him out.
