Kevin Owens remains one of the best Superstars to have stepped foot inside a WWE ring. However, that does not mean he is the easiest person to work matches with as a WWE Hall Of Famer would attest. Kevin Owens was also rejected by a top WWE name recently.
WWE recently released the likes of Braun Strowman, Aleister Black, Lana, Ruby Riott, Santana Garrett, and Buddy Murphy. The reason cited was part of budget cuts, and Strowman was being paid $1.2 million per year according to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter. The former WWE Universal Champion signed a new contract in October 2019, so the budget cut regarding Strowman is the WWE’s biggest saving financially from all of the talent cuts in the last year plus during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The former Universal Champion is also known to be outspoken and also let everyone know what his opinion is. During the latest edition of the Talking Smack talk show, Kevin Owens could be seen wearing a “Riott 2 Liv” t-shirt on the most recent episode. This was a very obvious tribute to Ruby Riott and Liv Morgan.
This came at a time when the company released the aforementioned Superstars from their contracts, which included Ruby Riott.
