Lacey Evans Drops Ric Flair Bombshell To Fans

Lacey Evans is no longer with the WWE. The former superstar talked about her time in the WWE during an appearance on Insight with Chris Van Vliet. She talked about how her work was about to help her get an opportunity at the Women’s Title during her storyline involving Ric Flair.

Lacey Evans was involved in a romantic storyline angle with Ric Flair. It’s worth noting that the grapevine had the information around this possible outcome where Charlotte and Lacey would fight for the title at WrestleMania 37. Lacey announced her pregnancy after this, and was later released by the WWE.

Ringside News reports that Lacey Evans didn’t think the work was made for her. She said, “Do you want me to lie? No, there’s not. Some people, they wake up and they put on six-inch stilettos and ten pounds of makeup and their extensions and they go walk the red carpet and they feel amazing. I’m not those people. And it was very difficult for me to put on that front.”

Lacey also talked about the opportunities she has had after leaving WWE. While she didn’t disclose the details of the offer she received, she did state that there were multiple offers for her after the WWE departure. It turns out that her work did impress people beyond the biggest wrestling juggernaut. She even talked about the time since she has been with her husband.

She said, “I have had a lot [of offers], obviously, reach out. But I did WWE for seven years, and it was never my passion. That was never a secret. It was incredible to see my fellow Sports Entertainers that that is their passion, but I just knew. I went out there and did the best that I could and did my job. But I always looked forward to coming home. My family traveled with me, everywhere I went for the most part. And that was a struggle, right? Because when I got signed with WWE I was a mom and I was a wife. I’ve been with my husband since I was 15.”

WWE does require you to be on the road for a long time, and Lacey even talked about it during her appearance on Insight. She said, “It was an incredible opportunity but it was a lot for whenever you compare what your passion is and WWE is very, very difficult. You’re on the road, well over 300 days a year. They want a lot from you. There was always something in the back of my head going ‘What the f*** am I doing?’”

It isn’t clear if Lacey will ever step between the ropes. If she does, there’s no information on which company will she like to wrestle with in the future. While the fans are enjoying her work outside of the WWE, it would be interesting to see her inside the squared circle and call her fans as she did during her time in the WWE.

Do you think Lacey Evans will be back inside the squared circle? Sound off in the comments.
