Matt Riddle Caught Lying About Brock Lesnar?

In the dynamic realm of professional wrestling, the year 2022 witnessed the meteoric rise of Matt Riddle, sparking widespread anticipation of his inevitable ascent to the main event echelons. Amidst the fervor surrounding Riddle’s potential trajectory, he asserted boldly that he had originally been slated to emerge victorious in the 2022 Royal Rumble, only for the unforeseen interference of Brock Lesnar to shatter those plans. However, recent revelations have cast doubt upon Riddle’s narrative.

In a recent disclosure, Matt Riddle revealed that WWE had indeed harbored intentions of having him triumph in the 2022 Royal Rumble match. However, fate took an unexpected turn as Brock Lesnar seized control of the narrative, steering it in a different direction, and no one within the organization dared to challenge the formidable Lesnar.

To jog your memory, in the midst of the 2022 Royal Rumble, Brock Lesnar efficiently eliminated Matt Riddle and, despite losing the WWE Title earlier in the evening, emerged victorious in the event.

Reflecting on the incident during a virtual signing with Signed By Superstars, Riddle remarked, “I believe – you know, it’s sports-entertainment – that I was told at one point, yeah, I was gonna win the (Royal) Rumble and everything else, and then what was it? Bobby Lashley beat Brock Lesnar because somebody came in and hit him with the belt or what have you. Then Brock came in, didn’t wanna do business with everybody, said he was winning, and then he won, and then none of the producers… nobody stood up to him, and they let him do it. I didn’t either, I didn’t either. I’m like, f*ck man, I’m just here.”

In a quest for clarity on this intriguing matter, Ringside News sought the insights of a seasoned member of the WWE Creative team. Their response unequivocally debunked Matt Riddle’s claims, asserting, “Riddle was never planned to win the Rumble.”
