Former WWE star Matt Riddle recently ended his WWE tenure when he was released due to controversial reasons. He is gearing up for 2024, but Riddle also seems to have had a difficult time recently, as he and his family have been going through various health issues.
Matt Riddle confirmed his WWE departure in September, attracting interest from other wrestling promotions. Following his release, he acquired a new car and ventured into entrepreneurship.
The Original Bro took to his Instagram and uploaded a video, where he provided a life update for fans who were waiting for him. Riddle revealed that he was very sick lately and his family also dealt with various health issues.
Matt Riddle revealed that one of his children had an appendix issue and had to get emergency surgery. He further added that even his girlfriend required emergency surgery for an issue.
“Just a little life update. If you haven’t heard from me, I was pretty sick. My girl was pretty sick. My one child had an appendix issue and had to get emergency surgery and then, my girlfriend had an issue needed to get emergency surgery as well. Plus, I had a baby. So, I’ve been a little busy.“
“So, if I haven’t returned a phone call or a message in the last week or so, I still like ya, just been really busy lately,. alright. Just wanna share that with everyone and hit me up if you really need something. Alright, thank you! Love everyone! Happy Holidays! Bye bye!”
Meanwhile, Roman Reigns hasn’t wrestled much this year, but he did face LA Knight in Saudi Arabia. That Crown Jewel match brought a ton of attention, but it seems that the Tribal Chief was hurt prior to that.
Roman Reigns has a very limited schedule, but it’s not due to injury. He has worked hard to earn that incredibly light schedule. It also adds to the special attraction feel every time he steps in the ring.
During a Q&A on Fightful Select, Sean Sapp noted that Roman Reigns was “banged up” after SummerSlam. He still turned around and faced LA Knight in Saudi Arabia.
“He limits his dates, absolutely has limited dates. However, he was banged up after SummerSlam, and he came back to work LA Knight, but it wasn’t expected to have him miss any dates, or anything like that.”
Roman Reigns is set to defend the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at Royal Rumble against the winner of triple threat match featuring AJ Styles, Randy Orton and LA Knight.
