On Thursday, New York Attorney General Letitia James will present the closing arguments in Donald Trump’s civil fraud trial. She is accusing the billionaire businessman and senior officials at The Trump Organization, including his sons Eric and Donald Jr., of misrepresenting asset values to secure advantageous loans.
In September, Judge Arthur Engoron rendered a partial summary judgment, finding that fraud was committed by Trump and senior officials. Trump refutes any misconduct.
Trump supporters have said a request to delay the trial because of the former president’s mother-in-law’s death on Tuesday, was denied by Engoron.
