Jed Goodman, a renowned media producer, recently disclosed the incentive pay for several fighters participating in the upcoming UFC 287 event. The highly anticipated pay-per-view, scheduled for Saturday night, will showcase several well-known fighters, including Alex Pereira and Israel Adesanya, who will engage in a title rematch in the middleweight category.

The competition between Pereira and Adesanya has been simmering for a while, with both fighters eager to prove their dominance in the ring. As the defending middleweight champion, Pereira is keen on extending his head-to-head against Adesanya, which currently stands at an impressive 3-0 in favor of the Brazilian fighter. Pereira has previously defeated Adesanya on three occasions, twice in kickboxing and once in MMA, making the upcoming fight all the more exciting.

Aside from the title rematch, the event will also see the much-anticipated return of Jorge Masvidal, who will be up against Gilbert Burns. Masvidal is currently facing a three-fight skid, and the bout will mark his comeback to the ring after a 13-month hiatus.

While all fighters have their individual contracts, they are also entitled to receive fight week incentive pay, which is based on their number of fights in the organization. According to Goodman, Pereira will receive an additional $42,000 as the defending champion, while Adesanya will make $32,000 for his fight week appearances.

In addition to Pereira and Adesanya, Jorge Masvidal and Kelvin Gastelum are also among the top earners, each receiving $21,000. These two fighters fall under Tier 6, having fought over 20 times in the UFC. Tier 5 includes welterweights Kevin Holland and Gilbert Burns, who will each earn $16,000.

Overall, the event promises to be a thrilling night of fights, with several top-performing athletes vying for supremacy in their respective categories. Fans can look forward to some high-octane action, as these skilled fighters leave no stone unturned to claim victory.
