Pro Wrestler Shot During Carjacking Attempt

An NWA star is battling with a horrific situation.

NWA star and cancer survivor Blk Jeez, who is also known as Darnell Kittrell, experienced a terrible incident on Thursday, January 11th, around 7 p.m. in Philadelphia when he became the target of an attempted carjacking.

According to a press release via WrestlingNewsCo, four masked men approached Kittrell, who was in his vehicle, and during the altercation, one of the assailants shot him in the hip, causing a non-life-threatening injury.

Kittrell, who is a legally registered firearm owner with a carry permit, used his gun to defend himself and prompted the attackers to run from the scene. Authorities are currently examining surveillance footage to gather leads. Following the incident, Kittrell was transported to a local hospital and is currently in the process of recovery.

NWA President William Patrick Corgan sent his well-wishes for Blk Jeez’s speedy recovery and expressed anticipation for his return to NWA shows.

“We stand by Blk Jeez during this challenging time and wish him a swift recovery. His strength and resilience have inspired us all, and we eagerly await his return to the NWA ring. Our thoughts are with him and his family.”

Having recently battled cancer, specifically multiple myeloma diagnosed in the spring of 2023, a type of blood cancer affecting plasma cells in the bone marrow, Kittrell’s journey has been a rough one. Despite his setback due to the unfortunate event, he was scheduled to return to action at NWA Paranoia on Saturday, January 13th, in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
