WWE veteran Randy Orton has his in-ring future up in the air. The 13-time World Champion Randy Orton has been on the shelf with a back injury. He has not been featured in WWE programming in almost a year. Fans have been speculating about his return.
Randy Orton has been away dealing with the injury since May last year. Orton was last involved on May 20 edition of WWE SmackDown when he and Matt Riddle dropped the RAW Tag Team Championships to The Usos. Orton was attacked by The Bloodline to be written off television following the match. He has since been dealing with a back injury that was considered significant enough for him to miss the rest of the year.
‘The Viper’ required a fusion in his lower back that would keep him out of action for an extended period of time. The surgery took place successfully and ever since he has been nursing the injury. It has been noted that there is a speculation that he might return soon after rumors started floating regarding his return.
Ringside News recently reported a ridiculous rumor that we’ve heard about Randy Orton suffering a heart attack.
“We were able to confirm that Orton did not have any sort of cardiac issue at all, and his absence from WWE is only due to his back issue.”
A tenured source in the company also confirmed to us that Randy Orton does, in fact, have a planned return date already. It was not noted when this will happen, but it won’t be the summer. That being said, fans should expect to see The Viper again this year.
