Roman Reigns Leaving After WrestleMania 40?

WWE Universe is excited to know what the future holds for Roman Reigns after WrestleMania 40. The Undisputed WWE Champion and The Rock will square off against the team of Cody Rhodes and World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins in the much awaited Night One main event.

Reigns and Rhodes will then square off for the Undisputed WWE Universal Title on Night Two, setting up a huge battle that will enthrall spectators everywhere.

Although it hasn’t been officially declared, many believe Rhodes will win and dethrone Reigns as champion—something he was unable to do in the main event of WrestleMania 39 last year.

In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer talked about Roman Reigns’ post-match status, dispelling rumors of retirement but hinting at a potential hiatus from WWE. Given his hectic schedule, there is a chance that Reigns will take some time off following the match.

Fans shouldn’t expect to see him on WWE TV until potentially the next Saudi Arabia show, rumored for May 25th, or the SummerSlam event on August 3rd in Cleveland.

“I don’t think anyone believes Reigns would retire with a loss, and WWE has taught fans not to believe it, but given his schedule, it’s probable he’d take some time off. Given his limited schedule, one wouldn’t even expect him on a show again until the as yet unannounced next Saudi Arabia show (last word being on 5/25) and the 8/3 SummerSlam show in Cleveland.”
