Shad Gaspard’s wife has filed lawsuit over his passing

Shad Gaspard tragically lost his life earlier in the year after a swimming accident at Venice Beach. Now it seems his wife is suing the state of California, city of Los Angeles, and Los Angeles County.

According to a report by the LA Daily News, it has been alleged in the lawsuit that the aforementioned entities were negligent in their handling of Shad Gaspard’s passing. They provided the harmful conditions of the public property that ultimately led to his tragic passing.

In the lawsuit, Siliana Gaspard alleged that there was a distinct lack of signs posted to warn of possible dangers at the beach where her husband died. It was also said that that the lifeguards who arrived to help Shad Gaspard were understaffed. They did not have the proper training or equipment.

The lifeguards saved their son Aryeh, but allegedly “left Shad Gaspard in the water to die.” Siliana Gaspard is seeking damages and burial costs.
