While Declan is currently pursuing a career in football rather than following his family into professional wrestling, he fondly recalled his admiration for iconic WWE Superstars.
Undertaker, known for his legendary career and iconic matches, was at the top of Declan’s list. He acknowledged the excellence of Undertaker’s performances, especially in the context of his father’s memorable rivalries with him. John Cena, another larger-than-life superstar, also earned praise from Declan for his impact on the industry.
Interestingly, Declan mentioned Randy Orton, who had significant feuds with the McMahon family, including his father Shane. Despite the on-screen rivalries, Declan expressed admiration for Orton as a family man. He highlighted Orton’s commitment to family and parenting, acknowledging that while these wrestlers may appear larger than life on TV, they are also great parents and role models in real life.
Obviously, they had a bunch of great matches, I always say The Undertaker. John Cena, obviously, he’s just a larger-than-life superstar, so I would say those two in particular.
Just in a sense of what he’s done for the business and also what they do as family men,” he said. “Randy and Mr. Calloway, it’s always family first. I know Randy has his boys and Undertaker has his daughters, and you see these guys on TV and they’re larger than life. But deep down they’re just such great parents and such great role models as well.”
Declan emphasized the importance of family values and how figures like Randy Orton and Undertaker, beyond their in-ring personas, prioritize their roles as parents. The acknowledgment of these wrestlers as family-oriented individuals adds a personal and relatable dimension to their larger-than-life personas in the wrestling world.
