Triple H, Stephanie McMahon, and Nick Khan will be at SmackDown after Triple H’s promotion, FightfulSelect.com reports.
Talent are happy to see Triple H back, with one calling Johnny Ace a ‘snake.’ Triple H will likely follow WWE’s new talent directive, unlike his old indie focused one. Shawn Michaels remains in charge of NXT.
WWE Hall Of Famer ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin’s feud with The Rock has gone down in history as one of the most iconic feuds in all of professional wrestling. Their feud ended at WrestleMania 19 in 2003, which was Steve Austin’s final match as an in-ring competitor. It was the third match at WrestleMania in their feud. Steve Austin and The Rock Smackdown return also leaked previously.
After that match, the WWE Hall Of Famer was supposed to face off against Brock Lesnar. However, he chose to leave WWE and retire from the squared circle for good. He has yet to compete in the ring since his retirement back then.
Steve Austin squared off against Kevin Owens in a No Holds Barred match at WrestleMania 38 Night One’s main event. In the end, Steve Austin won the match.
Speaking to Sportskeeda Wrestling Senior Editor Bill Apter, Austin revealed that he refused to do a diamond hand gesture similar to what DDP did back in WCW, despite Vince McMahon’s suggestion.
“It just turns out that the timing was right when I did it,” Austin said. “And they asked me not to do it, but I said, ‘No, I’m gonna do it.’ They wanted me to come up with a whole different hand signal. Vince did, specifically, because Diamond Dallas Page was giving the diamond [hand signal], right? And everybody would go like that [hands raised] with it.
