Trump Attacks ‘Dangerous’ Woman After Shooting

Former President Donald Trump firmly rejected the notion that he has changed following the assassination attempt on his life earlier this month. On July 13, Trump was shot in the ear during a rally, an attack that resulted in one death and two injuries among attendees. Despite suggestions from some news outlets that Trump, 78, might have undergone a transformation, he dismissed the idea.

At a rally in Charlotte, North Carolina, Trump continued his fierce rhetoric against his political opponents. He criticized Democrats, saying, “These are nasty people,” and warned that defeating them is crucial for the country’s survival. Trump specifically targeted Vice President Kamala Harris, referring to her as “Lyin’ Kamala Harris” and “the most incompetent and far left vice president in American history.” He expressed confidence in winning the upcoming election with “an epic landslide” and reclaiming the White House to “make America great again.”

Trump then addressed claims that he might have become more conciliatory after the attack. He joked about supposed expectations for him to be nicer, saying, “I was supposed to be nice. They say something happened to me when I got shot. I became nice.” He assured the audience that he would not soften his approach, asserting that dealing with his opponents requires a tough stance. The crowd responded with enthusiastic cheers and chants of “TRUMP! TRUMP! TRUMP!”
