Christina Bobb, an attorney for former President Donald Trump recently began her Newsmax appearance on Friday night by stating that similar to her client, she has been indicted via Mediaite.

It has been noted that Trump is on trial in Manhattan where he faces 34 felony counts of falsifying business records to hide hush money payments to cover up extramarital affairs before the 2016 election. He has pleaded not guilty to those charges and the 54 criminal counts he faces in three other jurisdictions.

Bobb is not representing Trump in the hush money case and she appeared on Newsmax on Friday night where guest host Bob Brooks questioned her about media reports saying the ex-president has fallen asleep in court multiple times.

“Christina, let’s talk about this sleeping-in-the-courtroom moment here that the left-wing media has been running with,” Brooks said. “Wow, they’re reaching are straws here, no?”

She began her response with a preface for the ages:

“Well, as someone who was recently indicted myself, I cannot imagine falling asleep in my own trial. I mean, the idea that President Trump would be sleeping through this is absurd. Not only do I not think he’s sleeping, I think he’s incredibly angry, and I can only imagine having to sit there and listen to people who are confirmed liars talk about you and make up stories about you.”

Bobb was charged last month for her attempts to void the results of Arizona’s 2020 presidential election, which Trump lost. She was one of the eighteen people indicted in connection with the plot, along with former Trump chief of staff Mark Meadows and attorney Rudy Giuliani. In this instance, Trump is a co-conspirator who is not charged.

Federal investigators have also questioned her over Trump’s retention of official records after he left office. She acknowledged that, to the best of her knowledge, there was no official documents left at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in a letter she signed in June 2021 addressed to the Department of Justice. After two months, the FBI carried out a search order and discovered a wealth of information that the DOJ claims was classified.
