Notably, The election was not rigged. Hamas recently launched a series of coordinated terrorist attacks that killed more than 1,100 Israelis. The group also abducted more than 100 people.
It has been noted that Israel has responded by conducting air strikes in Gaza, which Hamas controls. In addition, Israel has cut off supplies of electricity, water, and food to the territory of 2.3 million people.
Speaking in West Palm Beach, Florida on Wednesday night, Trump addressed the attack and said that if he were still president, it would not have happened.
“And if the election wasn’t rigged, there would be nobody even thinking about going into Israel,” Trump said. “The election was rigged, very sadly rigged.”
Trump had previously came up with false claims that the election was stolen from him. In the aftermath of the contest, he attempted to overturn the election in several states he lost by trying to pressure Republican officials to subvert the results. Those efforts have led to his indictment in federal court in Washington, D.C. and his indictment in Fulton County, Georgia.
The former president also criticized Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for allegedly not helping him carry out a drone strike that killed an Iranian general in 2020.
“I’ll never forget that Bibi Netanyahu let us down,” he said. “That was a very terrible thing. I will say that.”
Trump also ripped the prime minister for failing to anticipate the attacks by Hamas.
“He has been hurt very badly because of what’s happened here,” Trump said in an interview with Brian Kilmeade on Wednesday. “He was not prepared. He was not prepared and Israel was not prepared. And under Trump, they wouldn’t have had to be prepared.”
