President Biden’s woes seem to be mounting, as evidenced by Jimmy Fallon’s recent sharp jabs during his monologue on “The Tonight Show.” Fallon took a swipe at the commander in chief, poking fun at Biden’s coronavirus diagnosis, his perceived mental decline, and decreasing support from within his own party.
“On the bright side… it’s the first positive news he’s had in months,” Fallon quipped about Biden’s health situation. “Biden has COVID. Luckily, he can’t spread it because Democrats have been distancing themselves from him since the debate.”
Fallon didn’t hold back, adding,
“Biden had fatigue, a cough, and brain fog… then he got COVID. Thankfully, Biden is expected to make a full recovery — and his doctors say he’ll be back to 60 percent in no time.”
The monologue marks a major shift in late-night comedy, traditionally a stronghold of Biden support. Comedians like Fallon and Stephen Colbert have often criticized former President Trump while handling Biden with more leniency.
