Trump Says He’s ‘Rich’ After Woman Said He…

Former President Donald Trump recently ranted about having to pay a $91 million bond over his defamation suit to E. Jean Carroll while trashing her at a MAGA rally via Mediaite.

It has been noted that the presumptive Republican nominee spoke to supporters in Georgia on Saturday and he complained about losing the defamation suit to Carroll back in January and being ordered to pay $83 million.

On Friday, the attorney for the former president filed an official notice in order to appeal the defamation verdict and posted the $91 million bond necessary to stop Carroll from collecting while the appeals process plays out.

Trump told his supporters in Georgia that “sometimes it’s not good to be rich” while adding that Carroll’s accusations against him were “false.”

Sometimes it’s not good to be rich. I just posted a $91 million bond, 91 million, on a fake story. Totally made up story. Think of it. Ninety-one million. I could say things about what it would cost normally. Ninety-one million, based on false accusations made about me by a woman that I knew nothing about. Didn’t know, never heard of. I know nothing about her. She wrote a book, she said things. And when I denied it, I said, it’s so crazy. It’s false. I got sued for defamation. That’s where it starts.

Last year, a New York jury found Trump liable for sexually abusing Carroll in a department store back in the 1990s and awarded her $5 million in damages.
