Originally reported by The Gateway Pundit, the FBI seized Crooks’ cell phone in hopes of shedding light on his motivations. Transported to the FBI’s forensic lab in Quantico, the phone has thus far yielded no accessible data.
During her prime-time show, Laura Ingraham noted, “The FBI tells Fox they believe the shooter acted alone. They have Crooks’ phone at Quantico but haven’t extracted any data from it.”
Elon Musk, via Twitter, questioned how investigators could confirm Crooks acted alone if they cannot access his phone.
CNN reports that investigators are nearing completion of their analysis of Crooks’ cell phone, having examined 70% of its content without uncovering a motive for the attack.
The Gateway Pundit has labeled the incident as a case of “potential domestic terrorism” and anticipates further insights from an upcoming examination of Crooks’ laptop.
Law enforcement sources indicate Crooks’ parents have been cooperative, describing their son as having few friends and no discernible political affiliations.
Despite being a registered Republican, Crooks made donations to ActBlue and the Democratic National Committee, a trend observed among liberals in Pennsylvania’s closed primary system who registered as Republicans to influence the nomination process.
