Trump Shooter’s Parents Called Cops Before…

BREAKING: Thomas Matthew Crooks’ parents called law enforcement *before* the rally, telling them that their son was missing and they were “worried.”

They knew something was up.

“[The parents] called law enforcement to report that Crooks was missing and they were worried,” reported Harris Faulkner.

“Were they worried that he had a gun? Were they worried? You know, what were they worried about? Were they worried that he was gonna try to attempt to k*ll a sitting president?”

Holy sh*t.

Former President Donald Trump was initially considering Gov. Doug Burgum of North Dakota as his running mate, but his sons persuaded him to choose Sen. J.D. Vance of Ohio instead, according to a new report.

NBC News, citing a Republican operative familiar with the VP selection process, reported that Trump’s sons, Don Jr. and Eric, were vehemently opposed to Burgum, believing he added no value to the ticket. They strongly advocated for Vance, repeatedly pushing for his selection.

Trump reportedly had extensive discussions with his three finalists — Burgum, Vance, and Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida — late last week. Rubio’s candidacy was hindered by the constitutional rule preventing electors from voting for both presidential and vice-presidential candidates from the same state, rendering him a non-viable option given Trump’s Florida residency.

Burgum’s prospects were further damaged by a positive endorsement from Republican strategist Karl Rove on Fox News. Rove, who is not well-regarded in Trump’s MAGA circle, praised Burgum, which reportedly did not sit well with Trump. Don Jr. shared a Breitbart article with Trump highlighting Rove’s support for Burgum, further diminishing Burgum’s chances.

Additionally, Rupert Murdoch’s media outlets, including Fox News, had been supportive of Burgum. Despite Murdoch’s personal lobbying for Burgum, Trump’s lingering resentment over Murdoch’s support for Gov. Ron DeSantis in the GOP primary ultimately influenced his decision against Burgum.
