Trump Tries To Get Cops Arrested After Committing Crimes

Former President Donald Trump had seemingly endorsed a call for Capitol Police officers who repelled rioters on January 6, 2021 to be prosecuted on Truth Social Thursday via Mediaite.

It has been noted that Trump’s post linked to another one from earlier this week on X, which showed officers grappling with and using their batons to pushback on the rioters.

“The Capitol cops beat the hell out of innocent J6 protesters, and the videos are finally coming out,” asserted the original poster. “The cops should be charged and the protesters should be freed This is why the uniparty didn’t want the videos released.”

The riot was inspired by Trump’s false claim that he had won the 2020 presidential election and myriad malignant forces had conspired to steal it from him.

The Department of Justice has determined that somewhere around 140 police officers from the Capitol and Metropolitan police departments were assaulted on the day of the riot.

Nearly 300 defendants have “been charged with assaulting, resisting, or impeding officers or employees” while 99 have been charged “with using a deadly or dangerous weapon or causing serious bodily injury to an officer.”

Vice President Mike Pence and the entirety of Congress — who were tasked with certifying the results of the election — were inside the Capitol while the riot raged on. As the violence escalated, Trump egged on the rioters by blasting Pence for not unilaterally throwing out election results.

“Mike Pence didn’t have the courage to do what should have been done to protect our Country and our Constitution, giving States a chance to certify a corrected set of facts, not the fraudulent or inaccurate ones which they were asked to previously certify. USA demands the truth!” tweeted Trump at 2:24pm.
