In a recent episode of The Mary Trump Show’s “Nerd Avengers” series, Mary Trump expressed strong criticism towards the media’s handling of President Joe Biden’s debate performance crisis, contrasting it sharply with the perceived leniency given to former President Donald Trump’s attacks on women’s rights.
Mary Trump, known for her vocal opposition to her uncle Donald Trump, joined Jennifer Rubin, Jen Taub, and Brian Karem in an hour-long discussion dissecting the fallout from Biden’s debate performance. She lamented the focus on Biden’s perceived weaknesses, which she believes is causing significant damage to his candidacy, especially amidst calls for him to step down.
During the discussion, Mary Trump juxtaposed Biden’s scrutiny with clips of Donald Trump’s rambling statements about Hannibal Lecter and his views on immigration. She expressed outrage that Donald Trump, whom she described as “despicable, pathetic, vile, traitorous,” is seemingly getting away with divisive rhetoric while Biden faces intense criticism.
MARY TRUMP: You know, I want to play a couple of clips. One, to, in my view, frame the absurdity of focusing on, President Biden, who, again, is proving he can be president because he is being president.
And what we have to look forward to if, if we blow this as so many, so many rich white guys seem to want to do for reasons I cannot fathom. So first, the absurdity.
DONALD TRUMP: Whenever I see the lovely movie Silence of the Lambs. Did you see.
MARY TRUMP: Lovely–
DONALD TRUMP: Did you ever hear of Hannibal Lecter, who’s a lovely man? He would love to have you for dinner. He will take you. You had many people for dinner? Well, we have a lot of people coming in. They always say, oh, that’s terrible. That Trump would say he is rambling about Hannibal Lecter. No, I’m not rambling!
That’s it. Well, we are allowing people from insane asylums and mental institutions into our country by the tens of thousands, and they’re closing them down in other countries, you know, the cost savings and all of the savings and sending bloodthirsty terrorists, savage gang members and child predators into the United States to prey on our people, to prey on you, to prey on everybody. They’re coming not only from South America, but from all over the world, from Asia, Africa and every other place. They’re coming from all over the world.
MARY TRUMP: Yeah. No, no, no. Countries that are majority white. Well that’s shocking! Shocking! So that’s the absurdity Jen. Yeah. That that man, that despicable, pathetic, vile, traitorous idiot is getting a pass so that he can do this:
ANCHOR: So he wouldn’t support monitoring pregnancies. Even if a state decided to do that.
JASON MILLER: Well, he’s made it very clear that he’s not going to go and weigh in and try to push, various states and how they want to go and set up their particular rules and restrictions. That’s going to be up to the states.
MARY TRUMP: Hmhm monitoring pregnancies will be left up to the states! Okay, so sound good everybody? Sound good, with the infighting and the weakening of our candidate, who was, by the way, already chosen in the primary?
