Vince McMahon Censors Female WWE Star

Sometimes WWE takes some harsh calls when it comes to letting the fans witness matches. They have edited parts of matches or segments they don’t want the fans to revisit on their online platforms. A similar incident took place recently. Many are considering that WWE’s worst match of the year took place last week but most fans probably didn’t see it. WWE had previously censored Jeff Hardy in Smackdown photo.

WWE edited the parts of the match

Dave Meltzer noted in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that people in and out of the company were talking about Lash Legend’s match on the 12/17 episode of 205 Live. Legend wrestled Sarray, one of the most experienced women on the NXT roster, and while Sarray did her best to carry things, the match fell apart at different times as it was clear that Legend was very green.

Meltzer noted that those who saw the match called it the worst match on WWE broadcast TV this year and sources in the company said that it was one of the most edited matches before it aired and it was described that they cut it down to 3 minutes of “highlights.” The edited version was still the worst TV match in WWE this year.

Legend was signed because of her short-lived stint in the WNBA and her college basketball experience. The feeling is that her star look and athleticism will translate into pro wrestling like it did for Bianca Belair and Charlotte Flair.

We will have to see how WWE decides to groom Legend to polish her in-ring abilities.
