Vince McMahon Gets Rid Of Tag Team After Burial

The WWE main roster can experience significant turbulence when Vince McMahon and Triple H, two influential figures within the company, have contrasting views on how superstars should be booked. Recent reports suggest that WWE is gearing up to repackage a team that has already undergone multiple changes in the previous year.

The duo in question is the Maximum Male Models, consisting of Mansoor and Mace. However, their presence on WWE TV has been scarce as of late. These superstars have undergone various iterations in their characters. Initially, they were paired with Max Dupri, who later adopted the name LA Knight under Triple H’s influence. McMahon initially did not view Dupri as “in-ring talent” but changed his perception when Triple H assumed control and recognized Dupri’s abilities.

Meanwhile, Maxxine, who was initially paired with the Maximum Male Models, has since been permanently aligned with Chad Gable and Otis. This change in partnerships resulted in her no longer teaming with the MMM.

According to a report from Fightful Select, the Maximum Male Models are expected to undergo a repackaging, although specific details of the rebranding remain unclear. The report also reveals that while McMahon was fond of the MMM, he did not want them to exhibit flamboyance. Conversely, Triple H supported their flamboyant style during his tenure. However, with McMahon’s return, the flamboyant aspect has been toned down, coinciding with the team’s disappearance from TV.

Internally, there appears to be a lack of consensus on how to effectively book the Maximum Male Models, leading to their limited appearances on televised events. While they have been featured in various live events, their TV presence has mainly been limited to battle royals and tournaments.

As with any wrestling promotion, the creative direction and character development can undergo frequent changes, influenced by the differing opinions of key decision-makers. The situation surrounding the Maximum Male Models serves as an example of how these differences can impact a team’s trajectory and on-screen presence within WWE.
