Former President Donald Trump’s rally saw utter chaos following a shooting while the former president spoke on stage. It comes just days after the Republican nominee introduced his youngest son Barron to Florida crowds in the teenager’s first official rally appearance via Mirror.
The former President was showing off a chart of border crossing numbers when a popping sound was heard. This prompted the former president to put his right hand up to his right ear before being swarmed and rushed from the stage by secret service agents. The shooter and one other individual have been killed in the incident.
The incident took place days after Trump proudly introduced his 18-year-old son Barron to crowds in Florida for the first time at a political rally. While it has not been confirmed if Melania and Barron were at the rally – Trump did not introduce either at the start of tonight’s rally.
It comes as Melania is expected to attend the Republican National Convention next week. It is noted that a source familiar with the convention’s plans told NBC News that the former first lady will be at the four-day event in Milwaukee, where Trump will officially accept his party’s nomination.
It comes after experts say Melania could potentially spend most of her time at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida or New York City – as her 18-year-old son Barron is attending New York University after graduating from high school just weeks ago. It could mean Melania would instead only travel to Washington D.C. for ceremonial purposes, such as state dinners and ceremonies at the White House.
