WWE ‘Bring Back’ Two World Champions

Former WWE Champion Jinder Mahal has had a history of knee injuries due to which he missed out on a significant amount of television time in WWE. Now it seems he has once again made his return to the company after a hiatus from the company.

The Monday tapings of Main Event saw Ricochet square off against his arch-rival Mustafa Ali in a singles match. It was their sixth one on one match together in the span of eight months, which saw Ricochet winning. However, that was not the biggest shocker of the night. Two former WWE Champions faced off against each other in their respective return matches.

Jinder Mahal beat Jeff Hardy on the show, but he had assistance from the NXT tag team Indus Sher. The tag team were absent for almost a year, except for WWE Superstar Spectacle, after spoiling Keith Lee’s NXT Title win last year which was received very negatively.

Mahal was last seen on the May 22, 2020 WWE Main Event show, before returning at January’s Superstar Spectacle. It was also Jeff Hardy’s first match since March 22. He took time off after his father passed away and before that he lost eight of his singles matches on Monday Night RAW.
