As the anticipation for WrestleMania 40 intensifies, WWE is sparing no effort to ensure that this edition of the Show of Shows lives up to its prestigious legacy. Set to unfold at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on April 6th and 7th, excitement levels are soaring to unprecedented heights. However, there may be some adjustments to the lineup of WWE stars slated to participate in the event.
At WrestleMania 40, the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions Finn Balor & Damian Priest are poised to defend their titles in a thrilling six-pack ladder match against a formidable array of teams. Joining them in this high-stakes encounter are DIY (Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa), Awesome Truth (The Miz & R-Truth), The New Day (Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods), Grayson Waller & Austin Theory, and Pete Dunne & Tyler Bate.
The last two spots in the ladder match were secured during Friday’s SmackDown. Waller & Theory clinched victory against The Street Profits, while Dunne & Bate emerged triumphant over Angel & Humberto in the tournament. However, reports surfaced suggesting that Waller and Theory’s participation in the match might be in jeopardy as WWE was set to discuss their status in a meeting.
Now, it appears that there has been a change in the lineup for the tag team ladder match at WrestleMania 40. According to Dave Meltzer’s recent report, Pretty Deadly is now listed as part of the match lineup.
“The one thing from the lineup last week was that Pretty Deadly was listed in the tag team ladder match.”
