WWE is gearing up for another draft, and it is expected to take place soon. The company’s creative department has been actively discussing the draft for about a month now, and interestingly, the decision to hold the draft did not require the approval of WWE’s CEO, Vince McMahon.
According to an exclusive report by Ringside News, Vince McMahon’s recent return to WWE had no influence on the decision to hold the draft. It was already in the works, and it would have happened regardless of whether McMahon was present or not. When asked about McMahon’s involvement in the draft process, a reliable source from WWE’s creative department revealed that he has not offered any opinion on the draft.
For fans of WWE, the draft is always an exhilarating time as anything can happen. Even the Superstars themselves do not know whether they will be drafted or not, as the company strives to capture their organic reactions on live television.
Although there is a possibility that McMahon may make some last-minute changes to the draft, it appears that he is currently staying out of any discussion about it. As such, it remains to be seen whether there will be any reports of McMahon walking in and altering everything around come draft time.
The upcoming WWE Draft is reportedly set to take place in Jacksonville on May 8th. Interestingly, this location is a strategic one, given that it is also the home base of the WWE’s rival company, All Elite Wrestling, as well as their pandemic home, Daily’s Place.
