WWE will be moving to Fox in October this year. This is a major deal for the company and so they are trying to increase the hype for the move as much as possible.
On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer provided an explanation regarding Fox’s plans for Smackdown Live. He said that Fox will hold an hour-long special just before the launch of Smackdown Live on Fox. So it is most likely going to be held in late September. During the special, fans will be introduced to WWE talent.
We hope with this strategy, WWE will be able to attract more fans to tune into the show by learning more about Smackdown Live, before its jump to Fox in October.
