The WWE and UFC’s merger has brought about significant changes in the company, and it’s an exciting time for WWE Superstars who are experiencing a new era. Despite this, not everything is negative within WWE creative, as the landscape is continually shifting.
It’s no secret that Vince McMahon is the man in charge, and he can make changes whenever he wants, even though he has been relatively hands-off in the 2023 WWE Draft. However, during a recent PW Torch audio show, Wade Keller discussed how WWE Superstars are viewing this period of creative change. Some of them are receptive to Vince McMahon’s return, especially as Triple H continues to focus on building heels.
The WWE is undergoing many changes, but this is nothing new. Vince McMahon and Triple H’s new arrangement with WWE creative was a significant step for the company. Only time will tell how this period of WWE history will be remembered in the future, but fans are undoubtedly paying close attention to every aspect of these changes.
Keller stated, “The wrestlers who are more sympathetic or okay with or even somewhat happy with Vince returning — the wrestlers I talked to directly like Vince better but they also indicated [that] they are not alone [and] that there are people who are happy Vince is back. It’s natural that some wrestlers would think that they were getting a better push under Vince McMahon than Paul Levesque because every booker is gonna have their favorites that they like a little more than others and those people get a boost, and others will be like, hey, I think I was in a better position under Vince. Some of it is just that. It’s purely based on self-interest that they were getting a better push.”
