WWE Star Retires After Getting Fired By Vince

Former WWE wrestler, Oney Lorcan, has officially announced his retirement from in-ring competition and has taken on a coaching role within WWE. This news was confirmed by the Performance Center Head Coach, Matt Bloom, during a recent interview on the Monsters In The Morning show. He revealed that Lorcan has stepped away from active competition and has now joined the full-time coaching staff at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.

“My position now as a head coach, I oversee my coaches. I have an amazing staff, so I gotta give props to those guys. Terry Taylor, Fit Finlay, Robbie Brookside, Norman Smiley, Steve Corino, Alexander WinklerAs well as ‘Oney Lorcan’ Chris Girard, who just recently retired from being in the ringJohnny Moss, and we have a few UK coaches that are on the cusp of being full-time coaches as well.”

Oney Lorcan signed with WWE in September 2015 and made his in-ring debut at an NXT house show. His on-screen debut came in January 2016, when he faced Rich Swann. Throughout his WWE tenure, Lorcan became a prominent figure in NXT programming and even won the NXT Tag Team Championships with Danny Burch in October 2020. However, their reign was short-lived as they were stripped of their titles due to Burch’s shoulder injury in March 2021.

In November 2021, Lorcan requested and was granted his release from WWE. During his year away from the company, he returned to the ring under his Biff Busick alias and competed until June 2022. He later returned to WWE in October 2022 and started his new role as a coach at the WWE Performance Center.
