WWE Trying To Sign Ex-World Champion Before Raw?

WWE has set its sights on talent from various promotions. One notable name on their radar is Nick Aldis, who recently parted ways with Impact Wrestling, making him a free agent. According to PW Insider, multiple WWE sources have confirmed a high level of interest in Aldis now that he is available.

Furthermore, there have been internal discussions about potentially bringing Aldis on board in a producer role within WWE. The company is reportedly considering giving him a trial period to assess his suitability for the position. This news comes after rumors of WWE’s interest in Aldis as a wrestler earlier this year, particularly around the time of the Royal Rumble, following his departure from the NWA.

Aldis’s tenure with Impact Wrestling recently concluded after a short-term agreement came to an end. However, it’s important to note that as of now, he is considered a free agent.

The possibility of Nick Aldis joining WWE in a producer capacity is intriguing. While he never had an in-ring career with the company, this role would allow him to have a significant impact on talent development and influence the direction of WWE for years to come. Wrestling fans will be eager to see how this situation unfolds and whether Aldis finds a new home within WWE.

We have heard from sources today that Aldis’ name has been discussed internally as a potential Producer for the company in recent weeks.  The talk today was that he may go through a trial process for that role as soon as next month.

As we reported at the onset of the year, there was interest in Aldis, at the time as a wrestler, around the Royal Rumble, after he exited the NWA.

Aldis exited Impact Wrestling yesterday after a short-term agreement expired.  His Impact run went as planned in terms of timeline, we are told.
