A large chunk of AJ Styles’ fanbase believes that the Phenomenal One is currently the best wrestler in the world, though it appears Styles thinks a little differently.
During his recent interview with UK’s Independent, AJ was asked if he thinks he is the best wrestler in the world. Answering to it he said that he takes pride in what he does:
“I don’t know that I’m the best wrestler in the world. But I like to think that I work hard when I step into a ring and I take a lot of pride in what I do, take in pride in what I do.”
Though continuing on the topic the former United States Champion said that according to him he is not the best:
“Who is the best? That’s up for discussion I think; there are a lot of great performers out there. You never know which one is going to be the next ‘top guy’, but if you’re asking me about being the best wrestler in the world? I’d say I’m not.”
While whether or not AJ Styles is really the best wrestler in the world currently is a topic of discussion, it’s safe to say that he worthy of being considered for the title.
