Brock Lesnar’s Drug Test Failures Resulted in Big Changes to the WWE Draft

The order of the picks in the WWE Draft were changed multiple times due to outside circumstances, mainly John Cena reducing his schedule, Roman Reigns’ Wellness Policy violation and Brock Lesnar failing multiple drug tests in relation to his fight at UFC 200.

On the Brock Lesnar change specifically, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports he was penciled in to be the number one pick after dominating Mark Hunt at UFC 200 on July 9th, however the situation over his failed drug test(s) forced WWE to make a change and ultimately move him down the pecking order.

Lesnar still ended up on Raw as originally planned, however fell to the number eight draft pick, behind the likes of Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, Charlotte, AJ Styles, Finn Balor, Roman Reigns, and John Cena.

The Beast is still scheduled to face Randy Orton at SummerSlam on August 21 as things stand.
