The original bout between Carlos Condit and Chris Lytle at UFC 127 in Australia may now be put on hold due to Condit’s knee injury during training.
While the match-up had been a hotly contested welterweight bout, the two will now have to postpone the fight until Condit is released for fighting my a medical examiner.
There has yet to be word from the UFC as to whether there will be a replacement opponent for Lytle or whether the match is off all together.
UFC 127 takes place Feb. 27 at Acer Arena in Sydney, Australia and airs live on pay-per-view. Due to the time difference, the event airs live in the U.S. on Feb. 26 in its normal Saturday-night timeslot. A welterweight clash between former champion B.J. Penn and perennial contender Jon Fitch headlines.
