– Avery sent word that The Miz vs. Rey Mysterio Canadian Street Fight advertised for the WWE live event on September 10th in London, Ontario has been changed to Miz vs. Kofi Kingston.
– DUI charges against former WWE announcer Mike Adamle were dropped this past Friday in Illinois. Adamle was arrested in January of this year but his breathalyzer test showed that he was well under the legal limit to be driving. As noted last week, Adamle was recently promoted to full-time sports anchor at the NBC affiliate in Chicago.
– Smashing Pumpkins lead singer Billy Corgan, who is no stranger to the wrestling business, will be starting his own independent wrestling group this fall called Resistance Pro. Corgan is the creative director and will be making the official announcement at the Wizard World convention in Chicago later this month.
