Impact Wrestling Results For July 1st: New World Heavyweight Champion

Impact Wrestling’s “Bell to Bell” edition begins with a video package hyping up tonight’s world title match between Kurt Angle and EC3. The first match of the night will be The Rising against The BDC. The losing team must disband.

Four on Three Elimination Handicap Match: The BDC (MVP, Kenny King, Low Ki, and Hernandez) vs. The Rising (Drew Galloway, Eli Drake, Mica)

We begin the match with Drew Galloway and MVP. They get in each other’s faces and exchange punches. Galloway hits a big boot on the BDC leader. He goes for another, but MVP stops in the corner of his partners and calls for a timeout. He tags in Low Ki. Once again, Low Ki becomes the victim of some brutal chops in this feud.

Micah is in and gets a two count on Low Ki. Kenny King is tagged in and the momentum shifts. King rolls into a full mount position following a suplex and rains down punches. Micah has a hard time tagging in a partner as the BDC is outworking him. Hernandez begins growing tired of not being tagged in. Low Ki hits a springboard enzuigiri to eliminate Micah.

Drake rushes in, but he is thrown to the corner by Low Ki. King is tagged in as we go to our first commercial break.

-Commercial Break-

We’re back and the BDC still has the advantage. Low Ki fails to secure a three count on Galloway. Low Ki is reversed and Galloway tags in Drake. Drake gets the better of MVP and lands a flying clothesline. Russian leg sweep connects for Drake. King goes for an aerial maneuver, but Drake jumps on the top rope and sends King flying. Drake dives over the top rope to deck MVP, but he tweaks his knee and he cannot continue, thus he has been eliminated.

Galloway is left to fight off the entire BDC. Hernandez is finally an active competitor and he slaps Galloway, who returns the favor. They go back and forth on forearm shots and trade chops in the corner. Low Ki and King become active, but Galloway eventually pins both of them. Low Ki drags Galloway to the outside, but he sends Low Ki’s shoulder crashing to the ring steps.

Hernandez and Galloway are back in the ring. Galloway goes to the ropes but MVP hits him and Hernandez capitalizes with the Border Toss. He tags in MVP who hits the Drive-By kick for the win.

Winners: The BDC (MVP, Kenny King, Low-Ki, and Hernandez)

A graphic appears hyping up Jeff Jarrett’s exclusive interview later tonight. They also hype Angle vs. EC3.

-Commercial Break-

MVP is with Hernandez and King in the back. He asks King what happened to Low Ki and King says his shoulder is jacked. MVP says later on they will address the issues, but right now it’s time to party. MVP asks King why he keeps doubting him, King says he had no idea “Super Mex” was joining the group.

Magnus is in the ring and reminds people of his issues with Storm. He says what Storm did to him and his family has only made himself and them stronger. He welcomes back his wife Mickie James. She makes her way to the ring and thanks fans for their support. She thanks Magnus for standing by her side even though she didn’t listen to him.

James Storm’s entrance music hits and he comes out with Khoya. He says it’s great to see Mickie moving around. He says he should’ve pushed Mickie harder and says imagine her having her baby in her arms in a wheelchair. He claims the real reason he offered Mickie a spot in the Revolution was to show how easy it is for him to manipulate a woman.

Mickie calls Storm a pathetic waste of a man. He says he wishes he were half the man Magnus is. Mickie says if Storm can find a woman to stand by him, she will fight her in her final match.

A graphic shows hyping up the final match in the Best of Five series coming up next.

-Commercial Break-

EC3 is in the back sparring with Tyrus. He even assists EC3 with his stretching.

Best of Five Series Iron Man TNA Tag Team Title Match #5: The Dirty Heels vs. The Wolves

Austin Aries and Davey Richards start us off. Lots of mat based wrestling in the early going until Aries pops Richards with a forearm. Roode is in and The Dirty Heels’ momentum turns and not in a good way. A poke to the eyes of Eddie Edwards puts a halt to that.

A chop from Edwards and a double foot stomp from Richards keep Aries grounded. They double team Roode and send him to the outside. The Wolves go for an aerial double team, but The Dirty Heels shove them off the top turnbuckle.

-Commercial Break-

We are back from the break and Aries lands his signature elbow on Edwards. Aries tags in Roode, who attacks the arm of Richards. We still don’t have a pinfall in this match. Aries hits a double ax handle on Richards on the outside. With Roode setting up Richards in a powerbomb position, Aries connects with a missile dropkick. Aries goes for the pin, but Edwards breaks it up.

Later on, Aries locks in Last Chancery on Edwards. Richards eventually breaks the grip of Roode and hits a double foot stomp to break it up. With Richards dragged out the ring, Roode nails Edwards with a spine buster. Aries follows it up with a 450 splash to get the first pinfall in this match.

The Dirty Heels – 1

The Wolves – 0

Aries nails The Wolves with a suicide dive. With Aries and The Wolves back in the ring, The Wolves connect with the Force of Nature on Aries to even the score.

Roode blasts Edwards in the back of the head with one-half of the TNA tag team belts. Aries pins Edwards, but he kicks out at two. Roode attempts his Roode Bomb finisher on Edwards, but he counters into a pin for the three count.

The Dirty Heels – 1

The Wolves – 2

Roode traps Edwards in a cross face with seconds left to go in the match. Aries held Edwards back on the outside. The time runs out without Edwards tapping.

-Commercial Break-

TNA Knockouts Title Match: Taryn Terrell © vs. Awesome Kong vs. Brooke

Taryn is out with the Dollhouse at ringside. Taryn pushes Brooke into Kong, but sends Brooke into Taryn. Brooke throws a rapid amount of punches at Taryn. Kong grabs Taryn and launches her across the ring. Brooke sends her flying as well. Brooke hits a facebuster on Taryn and she rolls out of the ring.

Kong and Brooke go at it in the ring. Kong applies a headlock on Brooke as Taryn climbs the second rope. She drops Kong with a missile dropkick and sends her out of

the ring. Taryn rubs Brooke’s face across the mat. Suplex lands on Brooke and Kong nails Taryn with a combination. She chokeslams Taryn and goes for a splash but The Dollhouse pull her outside. With Kong too busy pouncing on Marti Bell and Jade, Brooke runs over Taryn with a spear. She goes up the top turnbuckle and gets kicked off by Marti.

Kong enters the ring and is hit with the Taryn Cutter after Jade kicks Kong from behind.

As The Dollhouse were heading up the ramp, the lights cut off. A promo that has been aired for weeks with the words, “Playtime is over” reveals Gail Kim. A graphic then pops up to remind us that Jarrett’s interview is next.

-Commercial Break-

Jeff and Karen Jarrett sit down with Mike Tenay. Tenay asks Jeff and Karen what the future holds for Impact Wrestling as it pertains to Global Force Wrestling. Jeff says what he has in store will shock wrestling fans and turn some heads. TNA hypes up a part two to the interview next week.

EC3 and Tyrus are shown in the back making their way to the entrance ramp. It appears we are ready for the TNA world title match. Angle makes his way to the ring and the introductions are complete.

-Commercial Break-

TNA World Title Match: Kurt Angle © vs. EC3

We return and Angle and EC3 have been staring at each other all this time apparently. EC3 applies a headlock early on, but Angle slips out.  Angle hits an arm drag and continues working the arm of the challenger. Belly to belly connects for Angle. He then nails EC3 with two German suplexes before dumping him to the outside.

Angle attempts a third German suplex on the outside, but EC3 gets out of it. He charges at Angle, but gets caught in a belly to belly. They return to the ring and Angle hits EC3 with two more German suplexes. EC3 lands a clothesline.

Angle charges at EC3 in the corner, but runs into the ring post. EC3 then DDTs Angle on the apron as we head for another commercial break.

-Commercial Break-

We’re back and EC3 has a full nelson hold on the champion. Angle gets out and decks EC3 with a clothesline. Angle ducks a clothesline and hits three more German suplexes. Angle sets up for the Angle Slam, but EC3 slips out and goes for another clothesline. Sadly for EC3, he is caught in three more German suplexes. EC3 kicks out at two.

EC3 goes for the splash in the corner, but he misses and Angle hits the Angle Slam. EC3 kicks out, but Angle secures an Ankle Lock. EC3’s reverses and sends Angle out of the ring. Tyrus takes advantage and clotheslines Angle on the outside.

With Angle back in the ring, EC3 goes for the One Percenter, but Angle lets him fall on his face and applies another Ankle Lock. EC3 pushes Angle off, but yet again gets caught in German suplexes. With Tyrus on the apron, Angle rams EC3 into him and hits a second Angle Slam. EC3 once again kicks out at two.

Angle latches on another Ankle Lock, but EC3 gets out. Angle hits a belly to belly on EC3, but his body is sent crashing into referee Brian Hebner. Tyrus storms in the ring and attacks the champion. Tyrus sends Angle crashing to the mat. EC3 positions himself for the One Percenter and lands it. Angle gets his shoulder up at the count of two.

Tyrus grabs a chair and pushes Hebner with it. Tyrus is then thrown out of the match. Two referees come out and send Tyrus out. EC3 goes for another One Percenter, but Angle counters into another Ankle Lock. EC3 eventually pushes Angle off. Angle goes for a third Angle Slam, but EC3 reverses into a pin to win the title.

Winner and new TNA heavyweight champion: EC3
