Kurt Angle thinks WWE will be Ronda Rousey’s legacy

Kurt Angle recently spoke with Sam Roberts during Ringside Collectibles’ Ringside Fest and the former Olympic gold medalist and WWE Champion spoke very highly of Ronda Rousey. Angle teamed with Rousey in her first match ever in WWE at Wrestlemania this past year.

“I think Ronda exceeded expectations from everybody,” Angle said. “She did her homework. You can’t lie to anyone, Ronda was new to WWE at the time. She had very little experience but what she did at WrestleMania was unbelievable; she stole the show.”

As a matter of fact, Angle claims that even though Rousey has excelled at multiple sports over her career, she will be most remembered for her days in WWE.

“This girl has been the best in judo, the best in the UFC but I think this is her thing. I think the WWE is the thing she’ll be the most known for. If healthy, another six-ten years, this will be her legacy.”

Ronda gets her latest test at Survivor Series on November 18th when she squares off with SD Women’s Champion Becky Lynch.

Yea, but only in Tag team matches, with 3 or 4 on her team.

  • Keith Learmonth

She’s been doing house shows, at least.

WWE has become Kurts legacy purely because he was nowhere near as famous as Rousey from his Olympic days as she is from her UFC days. Yes he had a degree of fame, but nowhere near on her level, and especially outside the USA where he would have been a virtual unknown.
WWE will be part of her legacy, and more than likely, a small part.
Before making any pronouncements like Kurt has, you have to consider her impact on WWE and wrestling will really depend on how long she sticks around, and how often she actually wrestles

  • Kristopher Robinson

She wont be if shes doesnt wrestle more. She needs to be doing house shows and actually wrestle on RAW.

Ronda already has a legacy, it’s called being a very renowned female in the UFC. The NEXT part of that legacy is to become a WWE Hall of Famer. Her actual LEGACY between those two, is to become the most dominate female force in the world when it comes to Sports, AND entertainment.
