- The general feeling within TNA is that Ric Flair will not be back. At least one top star in the company says that Flair quit and TNA is trying to make it look like it’s the other way around.

Regarding a return to WWE, some in the company believe he will be brought back because of the WWE Network and because Triple H will go to bat for him to be used again. Don’t expect to see Flair ever wrestle for WWE again because of the retirement stipulation.

Flair’s new deal with Coca Cola for a new energy booster is said to be lucrative enough that he could leave pro wrestling and be fine. However, Flair’s financial issues are likely lifelong, no matter what deal he gets. You can see two of the new commercials below:

    Excellent comment, SYM.

Watching that commercial – it seems okay until Flair opens his mouth. What follows is a tacky sales pitch delivered in the most wooden, monotone, amateurish dialogue ever, that you would likely associate more with a street drinking bum, not someone who repeatedly (ridiculously) gets called ‘one of the best talkers in the history of the business).

That said, I don’t begrudge him the extra cash, even if he does look like a senile old drunk.

‘a king?’ I can’t say agree with Eric on this one, yes he may have got a good pay cheque and if people still like listening to his promos of course he’ll get screen time but from what I saw Flair was practically used like a Jobber in TNA and was a core example of backstage Hogan poltics

he put over Jay lethal by fell to the figure 4 leg lock for added insult

lost his HOF ring to put over a ‘Hogan Powered’ Abyss hmmm I wonder thought of that unnecessary power up?

Then remade the horsemen only to ditch them to be a glorified flunkie to Hogan and then Bischoff?! He must have died a bit inside when he read the storyline

Flair had no creative control of his character unlike Hogan and you can clearly see the difference.

There’s a difference having professionalism as a heel and being a dick to someone by giving them shite storylines

flair was treating like f’n king in tna’ millions and millions of cash. nonstop tv time to talk to put his old washup ass over. flair leaving tna is best thing to ever happen. maybe now flair can get memo. he is not in shape nor should he be in a wrestling ring at almost 70 years old. flair will just hog wwe spotlight from younger guys. just like hogan does for last 2 years in tna. one half of old dogs are gone. can’t wait for hulky bitchoff hogan stupid daughter to go next. tna needs quit hiring hasbeens. start focus on young talent. btw aj styles vs roode was great match

  • Doin’ fine

It may be we won’t see Flair wrestle in WWE again but that doesn’t mean he won’t take on one of the guys in the parking lot and kick him in the nuts

In all honesty I think he had one good match in TNA- which was against Foley right b4 that immortal bs storyline. They built a decent story with their history, grabbed some tables, barbwire and tacks and those 2 legends bleed a gallon each.

it should have gave TNA a boost but instead just made everyone look like pussies cause none of the locker could out do 2 wrestlers past their prime

  • Prince albert

some posters in here are fkn retarded, Triple H will give Flair endless beer money, TNA is too poor to even pay flairs hotel bill how pathetic!

  • CM Mark

    Those commercials are epic. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

  • gregramos

They should not have given him a script, just given him 30 secs to cut a promo. Would have been better. I am the Nature boy…wooooooooo limo riding, jet flying kiss stealing wheeling, coca cola dealing wooooooo son of a GUN!

  • nick

TYSON KIDD, NEED I SAY MORE?

  • nick

Hopefully if he does return to WWE, they make another DVD compilation.

  • voice of reason

@ sym best post of the week i actually had a mental image of flair doing that.

these ads are awesome good pick by the company to choose flair for their advertising campaign.

  • Logan

    @SYM

Then you yell “Charlie’s in the trees! INCOMING!” and set off some firecrackers.

  • Best In The World

They should fire big johnny and make nature boy GM

  • “Bad Man” Bigelow

@SYM That’s post of the week right there.

  • yofits

    PpppppppppppppppppppppppPOWER

  • SpudimusPrime89

These commercials could be something great. I’m getting a vibe of the Terry Crews Old Spice commercials from them.

  • Buttercastle

Those commercials made me unsure of myself.

  • 1919dpg

we all know flair’s secret energy source is cocaine.

  • rko

    @Dave

Agreed – Some lucky talent would be so fortunate to have Flair as a manager. It did wonders for batista and orton who spent more time with flair as a manager in singles competition during their time in evolution. Flair’s greatness rubbed off on them.

  • Dave

This could be a very good thing for Flair. At least now he will actually have to stop wrestling. He’s entertaining. And I like watching him cut a promo. What I don’t like is being subjected to seeing his wrinkly are cheeks and saggy moobs every time he has a match. So I really hope he is going back to WWE in a non wrestling capacity.

  • JD

I think the bigger news story here is that Ric Flair beat Sheamus for the World Heavyweight Championship

  • SYM

Flair reminds me of the Type of Grandfather that still thinks they are in Vietnam, then he runs around with Nothing but his underwear on & Yells “WOOOOOOOOOOOOO”
