What was the meeting between WWE and Impact Wrestling about?

It was reported earlier this week that officials from Impact Wrestling met with WWE executives, though it was unknown what the meeting was about. Speculation led many to believe that it had something to do with footage regarding AJ Styles, Bobby Roode, and Broken Matt Hardy.

Now, it looks like that may be the case. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that Impact officials were indeed pitching ideas to the WWE officials in regards to bringing footage from the Impact library to the company.

Though Impact Wrestling has been on the rise over the past year, winning back fans and critics with quality storylines and wrestling, they’re still struggling money wise and could attempt to sell some of their library to the WWE.

Word is that, while they do plan on selling footage from their vault, they could be working on a deal that would allow them to use archived footage.

So Dave Meltzer says one day that it is because WWE want to use TNA footage. The next day he says it is because TNA wants something from WWE. Sounds like he is just making things up as usual and cannot keep his stories straight.

You are now in, what we call a “duh” moment.

“Word is”… this article is moot and pointless. Quit trying to expand on any type of “what if” scenario. What are the actual FACTS?

For documentaries on people like AJ Styles and Samoa Joe, they’ll need that footage.
