WWE has brought back WarGames and Starrcade names for their events in the past year and it appears that another vintage PPV name could be making its return soon.
The company has recently sent an application to United States Patent and Trademark Office for the rights and usage of the name The Great American Bash
The trademark filling done by the company notes the following usage for the PPV name which was last used almost a decade ago back in 2009:
“Entertainment services, namely, a show about professional wrestling; entertainment services, namely, the production and exhibition of professional wrestling events rendered live and through broadcast media including television and radio, and via the internet or commercial online service.”
So far it’s unknown whether WWE intends to use the name for a PPV or if they are bringing it back for a mega Live Event like they did with Starrcade, but after this filling, it looks almost certain that they intend to bring it back in some capacity.
