Vince Russo’s Sinister Theory On Why Hulk Hogan Is Inducting Randy Savage Into The WWE Hall Of Fame

It was confirmed on WWE Raw last Monday that “Macho Man” Randy Savage will finally be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, headlining the class of 2015, with Hulk Hogan as the chosen man to induct him.

Hogan is a curious choice considering the pair had a longtime professional rivalry and personal issues according to some. Savage’s brother Lanny Poffo has already commented on the choice of Hogan and offered his support, however Vince Russo has offered his own thoughts on the choice of The Hulkster and is convinced there was a sinister reasoning behind the decision:

“Now the fact that Hulk is introducing Randy in the Hall of Fame… I’m sorry, I have to ask myself: Is it a case of ‘we’ve got to put Randy in because of the backlash of the fans?’ And you can’t not put Randy Savage in the Hall of Fame unless you have an ulterior motive. So ‘I’m tired of hearing the fans, we’ve gotta put Randy in but, being Vince McMahon, I’m going to get the last laugh by letting Hulk Hogan (induct him).’ I mean, come on. If you know the situation and you know the players, that’s a very, very possible scenario. I don’t know for a fact if that’s the truth but like I said, the guy made it clear to me that he didn’t like Hogan. Even if they patched up their relationship, I’m sure they weren’t the best of friends. Wresting is all about playing ribs. Is the rib on Randy? I don’t know. … Me, personally, would not doubt for a second (that Hogan inducting Savage is so Vince can get the last laugh).”
