As noted, WWE COO Triple H tweeted out a teaser of a bridge today and mentioned “#thefutureisnow,” as well as “Brooklyn.” This could be an indication that WWE will hold an NXT live event during SummerSlam weekend.
In an update, Dave Meltzer is reporting that there was one idea thrown out within WWE that the company would hold an NXT live event from New York City on that Saturday night and would air it on the WWE Network as a live special.
This would be the night before WWE’s SummerSlam event. This is not confirmed by any means, so take it for what its worth for now.
