As noted earlier this week, Kurt Angle told Mark Madden on his radio show in Pittsburgh that he plans on leaving TNA when his contract expires in January.
Bryan Alvarez cleared up some confusion about Angle’s contract on Friday’s episode of Wrestling Observer Live at the thirty-five-minute mark.
“I think the reason that everyone is confused (about Angle’s TNA contract) is because a lot of people are not paying attention to Impact. Kurt Angle has not been on Impact in a while and Angle had a tumor in his neck. And he was off television and wasn’t doing anything. He will be returning under the terms of his old contract for the Bound for Glory event as well as the TNA live event in October. Now, when this contract ends, he’s informed us that he will not be re-signing his deal.”
Alvarez speculated even if these two events will run as TNA’s future is unknown at this time.
