WWE officials knew that they wanted Roman Reigns as WWE World Heavyweight Champion going into WrestleMania 32, so when Seth Rollins suffered his injuries, their plans did not change whatsoever for Reigns, according to Pwinsider.com.
There was no panic among WWE officials as they were already close to having Reigns win the title as he was scheduled to win it at Survivor Series from Rollins. This would then led to a rematch between the two at the December TLC pay-per-view, where Reigns would have retained, in a TLC match.
