As we previously reported, former WWE Superstar Cody Rhodes is expected to do work for both TNA and Ring Of Honor without being under contract with either company. The plan in TNA is to have Rhodes and his wife Brandi (a.k.a. Eden) feud with Mike Bennett and Maria Kanellis since they both have worked together at Northeast Wrestling.
No word yet on when Cody will begin work with TNA, but he is currently slated to work a few ROH dates in December in hopes of working with Adam Cole. Rhodes is also expected to take a trip over to Japan to work with Katsuyori Shibata (according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter) at New Japan Pro Wrestling for one date.
Cody will also not be allowed to use his ‘Rhodes’ last name as it currently stands, however, talks with the WWE are ongoing as they are currently claiming rights to Dusty’s merchandise and Cody is planning on writing a book about his father.
