WWE is trying to get younger viewers to watch the product and for this reason, Corey Graves said sh*t on RAW this week and why Kofi Kingston gave Samoa Joe the middle finger on SmackDown live.
AEW is currently competition for WWE and is seen as the ”cooler” brand of wrestling. WWE at one point of time used to be the cooler brand in the wrestling world and WWE certainly desires people to once again consider them as such.
Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that the company might possibly call up younger superstars from NXT because they will be used to attract the younger generation of WWE fans and that is their primary objective as of now. Meltzer said that WWE knows it is a weak spot.
It will be interesting to see whether this will help WWE secure more ratings or not.
