Rey Mysterio was injured by Seth Rollins on an episode of Monday Night RAW. Mysterio’s eyeball met a corner of the steel steps and his condition was believed to be critical. It seems he will call an end to his career next week.
During this week’s episode of RAW, it was made official that Seth Rollins will be squaring off against Aleister Black in a singles match on next week’s show. After that, it was announced that Rey Mysterio will be announcing his retirement on that show.
Mysterio has yet to sign a new contract with WWE, so his status is a question. The company might be planning an angle to take him off WWE Television as his future in the company is uncertain.
We wonder whether the retirement will be legitimate or perhaps Mysterio will be leaving WWE for another company.
