On the latest episode of the “Nitty Gritty Dirt Show” on RussosBrand.com, host Billi Bhatti and former WWE writer Vince Russo, discussed how the potential WrestleMania card and it’s early perception backstage. In addition, Bhatti revealed some major yet rumored matches for the card. Wrestling-Edge transcribed Bhatti’s comments below.
Bhatti: Vince McMahon is already very on edge about this year’s WrestleMania card and is being referred to as a ‘joke’ by my sources with the nickname ‘WrestlingMania’ because it’s going to be so ‘wrestling centric’. I am being told that there is almost zero chance of the current card being ‘as-is’. I’m not saying that this is the card, I am saying this is probably not the card because this is currently what they have.
Bhatti continued:
Bhatti: Roman Reigns Vs. Daniel Bryan. I do think that will happen because there is too much that has gone into that already. Drew McIntyre defending the belt against Sheamus, Randy Orton Vs. Edge, Asuka Vs. Charlotte Flair, Sasha Banks Vs. Bianca Belair, and Bobby Roode & Dolph Ziggler Vs. The Mysterios. That is what you have at the moment.
In other news regarding ‘The Ultimate Opportunist’, famed WWE refree Jimmy Korderas revealed how Edge along with The Undertaker asked him to officiate their classic WrestleMania 24 match in a recent interview with WrestlingINC.
Korderas stated: “Edge comes up to me and says, ‘you got a minute? Taker and I are requesting for you to ref our match at Mania 24.’ I figured they had the stroke to get it done. I thought it was the coolest thing ever. And as the weeks go on, you go, ‘oh boy, I better not screw this up.’ The pressure is on now.” H/T: WrestlingINC
